Technologist Designer- Civil

Webster Engineering Ltd. is seeking a talented Civil Engineering Technologist to complement our recognized area of excellence in land development. Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of (full time) experience in civil engineering design and drafting

  • AScT Designation

  • Complete proficiency with Civil 3D software

  • The ability to contribute in a team environment

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • High degree of integrity and honesty

  • Works with enthusiasm and dedication

 Job Description and Responsibilities

Civil engineering design and drafting, with direct supervision from engineer, including the following:

  •  Preparation of storm, sanitary and watermain drawings including key plans, profiles, and details.

  •  Preparation of roadworks drawings including plan, profiles, typical sections, cross-sections.

  •  Preparation of preliminary servicing concept and rezoning plans.

  •  Preparation of stormwater management plans and calculations, and erosion and sediment control plans.

  •  Preparation of Detailed design drawings to support Subdivision and Building Permit Applications.

  •  Communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, via phone and e-mail.

  •  Coordination with Subconsultants.

  •  Coordination of shallow utilities such as BC Hydro, Telus, Shaw and Fortis.

 
 

 Compensation Plan

  •  Salary range is negotiable and will commensurate with experience.

  • In addition to BC Medical, an extended medical plan is provided, with amount based on salary, to be used as needed for medical care, glasses, prescriptions, or other medical expenses.

  • Performance bonus program commensurate with productivity and profitability paid twice yearly.

  • Participation in social events such as monthly lunches, summer family barbecue, and Christmas party weekend.
